In 1965, Quality Manufacturing, Inc. started operations in Lexington, Kentucky. The focus at QMI centered on tool and die design, precision machining and grinding. Over the years, we have perfected our strategies and focus and still provide state of the art quality, service, and support – which has been our popular trademark here at QMI. We have developed numerous specialized process systems that cover diverse technology areas such as: automated rotary machines, inline transfer equipment, automated ink-jet fill equipment, pick and place units, automated bending and tube processing units.
Our machining and fabrication division are a real asset to our customers with specialty needs. Having in-house access and a unique cross-network team that understands every facet of automation, fabrication, machining & tooling, we are able to offer a lower cost approach that competitive traditional machine build and design groups simply cannot offer. With our in-house purchasing and tracking systems, we can also offer substantially reduced lead times as well.
Many assemblies we complete have requirements of both fabrication as well as finishing. We are a low cost high precision manufacturer for the fabrication process of molding, grinding and preparing over 6,000 paper feeding rollers for production per day. This product is then used at our own facility as well as other OEM facilities globally in the production of new toner cartridges. We have experience with metals, plastics, welding, ultra-sonic welding, and even with the filling of solids and powders. From very simple function designs, to extremely complex machine designs, no job is too complex.
